Road movie:
On road with one truck, two ‘ibn-e-batuta’ (co traveller) and destination: undefined..!!
Life wants something or we want something else from what is been given... This leads, a young man, to a road trip which includes a job of delivering goods with the vehicle..
Road shows a lot.. How you being interpreted. How you take it how others involve in your life and will give what, which lead to where....
Vishnu- a fed up young man, with dad’s business and helping him out in the same (hair oil business), wants to do something else.. a friend of dad helps him giving some other opportunity—a driver job to deliver some goods.. which leads him to travel across desert. A few people he come across, some helpful, some help seekers and some dangerous..
The film about this journey will be less attractive in commercial cinema and so on entertainment level i’ll rate 1.5/ 5.. ‘BUT’ artistically it is very good.. if you compare a ‘road trip’ to ‘journey of life’ !!!
In this world, only you have to bear your baggage.. but others can reap your fruit... life’s sharing process- sharing of baggage, love, pain, escape, happiness (abhay with a young boy and satish kaushik).. Our values/ teachings of our parents /well wishers ONLY help in any difficulty (dad’s hair oil helped him in every difficulty of travel- starting up cinema projector.. and thus escaping from bad policeman.. bartering hair oil with water smuggler to help him get his life back... and that water saved other villagers from their deadly thirst) .. many a times we don’t know what lies within... others find out and help us to explore it and reap its fruits (abhay didn’t know what lies in his truck.. satish kaushik identified and made that cinema machine work which afterwards became means of earning... that attracted his love of life too..)
this depth in the story can make me give 3.5/ 5 to the film..
but taking mainstream cinema, public expectation, less easy understandability and less ‘sit back and relax’ entertainment factor... i’ll give (2.5 / 5 popcorns.)
