Flood movie review..

Those were the golden days for Hollywood flicks as many films’ main plot was- the city is in danger by a ‘Natural Calamity’.. you take Twister, Volcano, Die another day etc. or some alien or other creature has created a havoc in the city – Godzilla, Independence day etc. This film- Flood goes on similar lines, the difference is the ‘type of calamity’- FLOOD...

Everything else is going inline with the subject. If we see film individually without relating to other Hollywood flicks aforesaid, it is a good attempt to thrill audience with the dangerous behaviour of a water wave in city of London.. graphics are adequately used to insert the whole thing to audiences’ mind.. many scenes camera has also worked well..

I’ll say: if you are fond of such films and want to have same entertainment as Volcano, Twister.. then go for it. For other’s.. IPL final is the best option :-)

City of Gold review...

This flick gives the reality touch to the era of 1980’s mill workers’ and their family’s hardships during that time of recession for textiles mills.. it deals with their poverty, economic and thus emotional disturbances, conflicts between thoughts of own mind, Mumbai chowl neighbours, the life there...

I think 80’s is the era, attracted to many film makers as in recent past we had two three releases- Striker, Baabar.... , chandni baar was also based on 80’s decade..

Especially talking about Mahesh manjarekar, his camera has some sort of attraction to Mumbai chowl, the tenants there, their behaviour, their hardships, their thinking.... Vastav is the best suited example to the same.. where he achieved a pinnacle of involvement for audience and a pinnacle to Sanju baba’s career too.. City of Gold revolves around the life in chowls of Mumbai were mill workers live their lives, their children grow, what they learn from the environment, and how the life lead them or they lead their life to where... you’ll definitely admit that Mahesh manjarekar has tried hard to put the picture near to reality..

This film belongs to him only,,

Apartment review...

2 BHK flat- rent shared by boyfriend n girlfriend- break up- only girl left in apt., who gets another PG: a girl- and the story goes as new girl (neetu Chandra) has some sceptical behaviour as she does’t like her landlord (tanushree) has relation with boyfriend (rohit roy)...

Weakly weaved storyline, not so new plot, and less known starcast- all material for not good film..

All goes as a B grade film, not engaging except in the second half- as why the new girl (neetu) dislikes tanushree get along with boyfriend rohit... otherwise Anupam Kher also gives a mediocre work.. i think such actors should not work in such films, as the audience is being attracted by such names and gets nothing worth entertaining after spending 60-70- 100- 150 rupees...

I’ll suggest not to go for it.

Paathshala review...

Going back to school, it’s always cool, No matter we were fool, but joy was ‘house full’.... always love school days..:-)))

School day’s entice almost everybody of us- friends, those childish ‘Shararat’, punishment from teachers, some of the peculiar teachers, some very friendly some pathetic’’’.. all this brings smile to our faces... shahid has tried to make us remember such days.. but the try never succeeded throughout the film..

Film goes in the backdrop of ‘commercialization of education system these days’ , students and teacher’s suffering through this and good teachers also defy this.... this serious issue not performed with ‘good’ entertainment value added to it and involving audience..

Nana... wasted... should have given more places to perform... in the role of a principle who is so introvert that couldn’t express and communicate school trustee’s bad intentions to the teachers and students... very sad for director for not using such a humongous talent..

Shahid looks cute, sweet, chocolaty... tried good...

Ayesha takia.. wasted... no reason for her to be in the film..

The film gives smiles in bits and pieces (some are nice) the last speech of nana is a bit touchy- leaving audience with smile....

It’s an average movie..

Raamu’s Phoonk – 2 review..

I can write a 200 pages book on why not to watch RGV’s Phook-2 :-)))..

What the phoonk !!! which vanishes the desires of audience to get a class act on silver screen..

A sequel to a pathetic phook-1, where last film’s living black magic woman was killed by tantric.. and in this film she comes back as a ‘bad aatma’.. wanting to kill all the loved ones of the lead actor.. and among this fishy story some good camera work makes u scared for 2-3 scenes... otherwise it’s a bad attempt to scare audience who expect some class from RGV.. (raamsey’s used to make good moviews 10- 15 yrs back...:-))))))

Avoid it..

Tum milo to sahi: review

Wo kehte hai na.. baat karne se hi baat banti hai... par uske liye..- tum milo to sahi :-)

Everybody’s meeting with problems these days... no body is ‘meeting himself’.. and that’s where the trouble is... tum milo to sahi: is about human relations, emotions, their belief about world and life, understanding, living with love and pleasure and let live so...

Meeting and coffee, are almost has become synonyms in urban world today.. this is all about meeting different people and interacting with different minds... the characters are sketched in the same manner too... different habbites different people, different mindsets.. and all have one thing common in their life- a coffee house.. which is to be acquired by a multinational company.. and they do ‘ saam, daam, dand.. ‘ to have it... and gets retaliated by the people, for whom the coffee shop means a lot...

Very nice , heart touching film.. a simple life shown in the back drop of activities around coffee shop.. One side a greed of carreer at any cost. One side cherishing lifewith family and love.. at one side the conservatism in attitude- not to change...(damn new generation) and at other side- the warm and lovely heart to welcome all.. What matters in life is understanding, love, emotions, humanity... All forgotton and you become machine in the form of human

This film denies to- if star cast is not big, the film is not good/attractive to watch.. ya i admit is not ‘the great’ film but, definitely brings smile to your face.. you feel relaxed after watching it..

Some places you find the director is missing the flow... but that can be overlooked for such a nice emotional treat..

It’s like cool baraf in the beginning of summer..

My rating: 3/5 (good to watch movie..)

Emotions drive us to live.. without ‘em, its just spending time on earth..
