To love or not to love, never happens by choice... it happens by chance...and here, intelligence is not in following your mind but to follow your heart, passionately and crazily like an ‘Idiot’...
This film is not only about comedy as we presume before entering into the cinema hall, it’s also about emotions, and most about a thought process which should be followed by all of us.
This film is an excellent showcasing of young generations behaviour and thought pattern, and adding the say of a narrator (director Raju Hirani), which is strongly presented by the protagonist (Aamir Khan). Compelling audience to say: Aamir- Rancho, sale! tune dil khush kar diya yaar...
Story goes like: Madhvan and Sharman gets a call from someone to tell about their fast friend Aamir, with whom they’ve lost contact for last so many years... they go for him and meanwhile story comes as a flashback: how they meet in an Engg. College, how were those days, ups and downs of hostel life... each’s personality traits... and just about being idiot all the time.. (well, i don’t want to tell you more about the story cuz in this particular film you’ll lose all those punches as they come..)
Aamir khan is excellent in the film, i woul’d say he’s challenged each and every contemporary actor in the industry to come and compete... he just gets into the character and performs brilliantly, whether it’s Taare Zameen Par or 3 idiots... he’s won most of the battle for the film.. and other.... Raju Hirani... he is one of the finest directors we got in the film industry... i’m sure after this film, when he’ll announce his next film, sponsors will line up in front of his office...
Sharman, as he is known for his natural acting, has done definitely well in this film... and Maddy, the chocolaty face will also get a rise in career after the 13B- not so appreciated film ( but it incurred more than it’s investment... so even though people didn’t like it, it was a box office hit).. kareena’s character is not so highlighting in this movie but she was good at her front... and last but not the least Boman Irani: whether being a dean in munnabhai or campus director in 3 idiots, i’ll say he has done justice to both of this character. He’d well differentiated both characters which are almost of similar type.
If we see to the drawbacks, the high points of the film are very good but sometimes you’ll feel the continuity break, whether in terms of flashback to present scenes or song interruption...e.g. for zooby dooby: many will feel ‘oh the song is really nice but why it came at this time.. ’ many scenes are so dramatized to gel with the believability of the story... javed jaffrey scene is a bit soar to gulp: should be catered with some other twist... in second half it’s bit slow and lengthy in the end...
On the whole, this flick gives more masti, freshness, a feel good factor towards your friends, love, and your passion....
must watch for each and every young at heart...
merry Christmas and start your new year with strong belief: a’l is well...

AVTAR ‘s movie review by rj vishal
An extremely tremendous creation on silver screen... James Cameron is back with a Bang to create history after Titanic... another entertainment extravaganza of thrills, chills and excitement... The flick says million words between the lines- be alert to global warming, stay connected to nature: the supreme power, follow the omens, live and let live... Galloping mind is far supreme than just a body, and can conquer the unbeaten and unshaken...
The flick takes you to the journey to another planet where animals, trees even human (if u consider them so!) are very different from ours... the group of people from earth want to extract some metal of a specific stone which earns millions if sold on our planet... and the impediment to this extraction is the residency on that planet. So the human (being the intelligent ANIMAL) creates people who are identical to that planet (almost 10 ft. Tall, with a tail) and ask them to merge with the local group and convince them to vacate the place... but in this process the protagonist of the film gets attached to the local group (which were right on their side: to save the nature) this is where it takes a U turn
The thought in the film has hidden roots in Indian culture and ancient Vedas, e.g. worshiping trees (especially banyan tree), telepathy or connections, understanding with animals. Even the name avatar is really suggestive as the incarnation...
Minute mediocre things u find about the film is: background score similar to titanic, the electro or logical connection of human with avatar is somewhat hard to digest for some, and the story and many a scenes, which can be predictable...
(this story is somewhat identical with amitabh-rajesh khanna’s Namak Haram:-))) where rajesh khanna goes to ‘basti’ to convince them not to oppose the factory management.. but here in this film: treatment, hidden aspects and concept of oneness with nature is totally original)
Too many points to discuss on the film but on the whole it’s truely a tremendous experience: ofcourse with your 3D vision glasses, absolute perfection even in minute things (e.g Dust particles, clouds: they look real with the 3D effect) many cheers to the animation team for the same.. this film will define new angles of technology in the history of cinema... lastly many cheers for james camroon; for first visualizing and then translating it to the silver screen
My ratings: (4+ 0.5 of thrilling 3D experience)/5 popcorns...

Fastest guy: beware
The day before yesterday I was watching ‘yuva’ on tv... kareena of course looks beautiful in the film... but the other thing to watch was Vivek’s character: wo man! What pakka flirt he is... well, in this I found SRK the best, (of course he taught the crash course of: 6 din- ladki in) but this guy is too much... the scene was—she’s engaged and going Kanpur to marry that guy BUT ‘this guy’ who meets her in the disc, asks for a coffee date and then (..job’s done J)..
Well, now I’m asking u, have u tried to take girl’s cell no in the first meeting!!! Ya! then what were the consequences… meri to puchho hi mat boss, lag gai thi… tell me urs ;-)….

Rocket singh- salesman of the year..
Plus + points:
· Close to reality: the set, locations, other characters of office.. the feeling of a normal middle class lifestyle,
· The concept is completely different: this days, directors are in rat race of attracting audience with slapsticks and romantic drama.. in all these Rocketsingh will surely make its mark.. with a different concept and strong script...
· In this film audience likes to be glued to know what this sardar boy is and will be doing.
· Identification: every sales executive, manager will relate to this film.. (they’ll say- oh! This only happens...!!!)
Minus – points:
· In second half, the film loses the attention... subconsciously you’ll feel- yaar ye dialogue lamba hai ya.. ... ...
· The role of the newcomer – there isn’t any importance or even any requirement to have her.. she’s not at all adding value to the film..
· Somehow a question will be haunting in audiences’ mind- itni jaldi ye itna aagey.. and in the climax – the boss’ realization of his deeds- thoda gale me atakta hai.. par chalega...
Will be giving 3 / 5 Popcorns!
(Good to watch)
